WILL IT EVER END?

FAMILY LIVING
What have you and your family done together lately?
The Bible tells us in the Old and New Testaments that family life is important (Proverbs 31:10-30; I Timothy 5:4; Ephesians 5:21-6:4). It is easy to read these verses and understand what they mean, but how do we apply them to our every day lives? How do we show our families they are important? We spend time with each other and this is good, but how do we use our time together? Maybe your family can follow one or more of these practical suggestions together:
Go to worship and Bible class.
Cook and deliver a meal to a homebound friend.
Read the Bible together.
Do yard work.
Pray at meals.
Visit the elderly or sick together.
Plant a tree or garden together.
Memorize scriptures together (one a day).
Have a family game night.
Volunteer for a church project.
Make a family tree.
Write letters to family members who live out of state or those who are in the military.
Go fishing or canoeing.
Take a hike and eat a picnic lunch along the trail.
Got to a Vacation Bible School or Gospel Meeting together.
This list could go on, but whatever you do, be creative and make time for your family. Every family member is a blessing from God to help us enjoy life in this world.
